Microparticles GmbH offers certified particle size standards designed for use in industrial, pharmaceutical, clinical, and scientific laboratories. These standard microspheres support the calibration of various instruments such as flow cytometers, laser diffraction devices, disc centrifuges, and particle counters.

Size Range:
From 100 nm to ~1000 µm
Materials:
Polystyrene or poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene)
Characterization:
Multi-method approach including TEM, SEM, high-resolution disc centrifuge, optical microscopy, and Coulter Multisizer™ 4e
Certification:
Traceable to the International System of Units (SI),
the European Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements (IRMM/Belgium),
Certified Reference Materials (CRM) from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST/USA),
and other international standards organizations (ISO)

Key Features:

  • monodisperse (CV < 2% for most products)
  • Absolutely spherical particle shape
  • Stable aqueous suspensions with surfactants and antimicrobial agents

Each product includes a detailed certificate with data on mean diameter, standard deviation, CV, particle concentration, solids content, refractive index, and more—ensuring full traceability and confidence in your measurements.
